StreamMe Adds $1,000 Pot Bonus To KIT 2018

This morning, the team responsible for running Kumite in Tennessee next month took to Twitter with an awesome announcement! If you’re planning to participate in Injustice 2 at the event in question, you’ll be pleased to know that a pot bonus of $1,000 was just donated to KIT, courtesy of StreamMe’s War of the Gods tournament series!

We happily thank the KIT team for their assistance in our goal to nurture Injustice 2’s competitive scene at the first of many FGC events that will kick off the New Year! Kumite in Tennessee will take place at the newly renovated Franklin Marriott in Tennessee on January 5-7, 2018!

Planning to attend KIT? Well, here’s some key factors to be aware of! First of all, followers of our War of the Gods series (which you can participate in by visiting here to register) will recognize Mr Aquaman as one of our iconic commentators and event organizers. Not long ago, he has confirmed that he will be attending KIT next week, so be sure to look him up if you’d like to say hi!

Secondly, if you’re thinking of going to KIT, why not register to take part in their amazing tournaments? But be advised that registration ends this Friday and will not reopen until January 5th at the venue itself. We highly recommend registering now at www.smash.gg/kumite-in-tennessee-2018 while you can!

Tournament games to be featured at KIT are:

  • Mortal Kombat XL
  • Ultra Street Fighter IV
  • Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
  • Tekken 7
  • Blazblue Central Fiction
  • Super Smash Bros Melee
  • Injustice 2
  • Super Smash Bros Wii-U
  • Marvel vs Capcom Infinite
  • Project M
  • Street Fighter V
  • Guilty Gear XRD Revelator 2
  • Killer Instinct

Since 2014, Kumite in Tennessee has been recognized as a keystone event in the NRS community due to their overwhelming support for Injustice: Gods Among Us. It has since underwent a fantastic evolution, expanding into a three-day event and covering a widening variety of FGC titles. Additionally, sibling events such as Midwest Championship and Midsouth Championship have been spawned by the team responsible for KIT’s creation: KIT Gaming, led by Ian “Vandy” Davis.

Kumite in Tennessee has previously been affiliated with circuits such as the Killer Instinct World Cup, a finals event for the KI community that has seen two incarnations in 2016 and 2017, and both have taken place in different venues at San Antonio, Texas.

We wish the best of luck to all players attending KIT, and we hope to see you there!
