Get up to speed on October updates for StreamMe!

Happy Halloween, streamers! Yes, Halloween is still a little over two weeks away, but we’re already feeling festive!

We firmly believe that everyone who utilizes our service should be offered the most convenient experience possible, as both a streamer and a viewer. To this end, we have been hard at work applying updates to the primary website for StreamMe, minor and major.

In this article, we will provide details for each update. Read on!

  • New “Followers Goal” Stream Widget

We have added a new option to all streamers’ “Stream Widgets,” called “Followers Goal.” Simply put, this widget allows you to add a new overlay to your stream where you count up the number of followers that you are aiming for on your channel. Similar widgets are available for Donation Goals, Subscriber Goals and Gift Goals, and we do plan to add more over time.

Upon visiting your account settings, click “Stream Setup,” then “Stream Widgets.” When you click the “Goals” tab there, you should see the following addition to your list of options:

If you are not entirely certain on how best to utilize the Stream Widgets, there is a “How to Use” tab available at the Stream Widgets tab. Click that and follow the instructions outlined to get started.

  • Live Thumbnails for Contest Rank and Leaderboard

When you visit our home page at www.stream.me, you will be greeted with a library of streams that are currently live. But over the last few weeks, you may have noticed that we added in a nice little decoration…take a look at the image below!

Do you notice how there is now a rank number over a handful of the streams listed above? These ranks are indicative of the streamers currently sitting among the Top 30 in our Streamers’ Leaderboards, which you can find here!

If you don’t have a rank over your stream right now, don’t be discouraged! Keep grinding and perhaps you will find yourself closer to the mountaintop.

To check the Leaderboards, scroll down to find a link to the “Top Streamer Leaderboard,” indicated by the image of a trophy over a green backdrop.

  • Default Tournament Banners

In addition to live streams, upcoming or live tournaments are also listed on the home page. When creating a tournament, the author typically has the option to add in an image labeling the event. It is usually recommended to do so, as it helps inform the reader of what to expect from your event.

Should you decide not to add an image, however, there will now be a default banner provided for your event instead. See below for an example.

  • Update to Multistream Settings

We have provided a few updates to your Multistream Settings. Again, visit your account settings, click “Stream Setup,” then click “Multistream” to explore your new options. From there, you can either create your own Multistream and invite others to it, or simply browse for any Multistreams that are currently live.

To clarify, a “Multistream” consists of multiple live streams grouped together into a single page, essentially eliminating the need to switch between tabs when watching multiple streams at once.

  • Raffle Wheel added to Android Version

Mobile users, the option to use the Raffle Wheel has now been added to the Android version of the StreamMe app.
