Physical release for @OmenofSorrow delayed to November 20th. Digital version will release on November 6th.
Omen of Sorrow, the PlayStation 4 exclusive title developed by Chilean company AOne Games, has had a slight change in plans concerning its release date.
According to @SOEDESCO, the physical version of the game will release in the Americas on November 20th, two weeks after its digital counterpart. This is due to an unexpected increase in the factory lead time for local production.
For those residing in Europe, the release date for the physical version remains the same as of that of the digital version: November 6th. This also applies to the American release for the digital version.
Omen of Sorrow is a shining example of the notion that big things come in small packages. Though the game only comes with twelve characters, it boasts a unique approach to the genre via mechanics such as Bold Cancel, Bold Counter, status effects that occur mid-match, Decimation Gauge, and so on. The mechanics are built to favor experience over luck, while being relatively simple to adapt to.
The game features a lineup of fighters based on characters from mythological tales of horror and fantasy, fighting for their lives in an obscure world of darkness. Players will also enjoy fighting among a collection of environments based on the aforementioned stories.
Preorders for the game are available right now via the PlayStation Store. Visit the link below that corresponds to your region to download the product.
For any readers planning to dive into the game next month, AOne Games has compiled a Twitter thread that details each and every mechanic in Omen of Sorrow. It is recommended you read the thread here so that you’ll be prepared to step into the ring.
