Want to learn #BBTAG? Check out this Beginner's Guide by @EbonicPlagueBB

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle released for the PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC two weeks ago (three if you consider the Japanese release instead of the NA release).

Before the game launched, however, players were given an early taste of their dessert via an open beta and a closed beta, which were made accessible via the PS4 and Switch platforms. As such, a good amount of players have been given a healthy head start on learning the mechanics of the anime tag fighter.

If you yourself are just getting started learning Cross Tag Battle, ArcSystemWorks, developer of the BlazBlue series, has shared a video tutorial by @EbonicPlagueBB that offers a comprehensible breakdown of the gameplay and mechanics.

Cross Tag Battle features a 2-versus-2 fighting system that pits characters from multiple anime fighting games against one another. You'll be able to create duos featuring fighters from BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth and even RWBY. Different character combinations mean various possibilities in gameplay, so players can expect to do a lot of experimentation as they look to assemble their best teams.

While Cross Tag Battle retains gameplay mechanics from the titles named above, it also features tag-ins similar to those seen in other tag fighters, such as Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Cross Tag Battle was first revealed at Evolution 2017, which took place in Las Vegas's Mandalay Bay last year. The game features a base roster of twenty characters, but more are already being added in by way of DLC, such as Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long from RWBY. Two more character packs have released as of today and can be downloaded upon your next session.
