.@GhostGaming_GG signs @NuckleDuDang into their #GhostFGC roster!

Five months ago, NuckleDu, the Capcom Cup 2016 champion, graciously parted ways with his previous sponsor of three long years, Team Liquid. This decision came shortly after he decided to forgo his slot in the next Capcom Cup last year, forfeiting it to the 2016 runner-up, EG Ricky Ortiz, as a result.

Today, however, the void has been filled once more. Ghost Gaming is sinking their feet back into the pond of the fighting game community, as they have just signed NuckleDu into their FGC division!

NuckleDu will be making his debut under Ghost Gaming's banner at Defend The North this weekend. DTN will take place this Friday to Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, New York. The event ties into the Capcom Pro Tour as a Ranking Event.

Known exclusively for his Street Fighter history, NuckleDu quickly evolved into a formidable force throughout the Street Fighter 4 series. In its final version, Ultra SF4, he made the switch to Decapre, a decision that netted him noteworthy accomplishments at events such as CEO, Combo Breaker, Final Round, etc.

His streak continued well into the legendary fighting franchise's next installation, Street Fighter V. Rainbow Mika, a newcomer to the series, became NuckeDu's first character of choice. Later in Season 1, Guile, who Du previously mained in Street Fighter IV, found his way back into the ring as a DLC character.

NuckleDu's mastery of both characters was almost instantaneous, leading him to victory throughout the 2016 CPT and a majority of the 2017 season.

Finally, in December 2016, NuckleDu's efforts culminated in his greatest achievement: a resounding victory at Capcom Cup 2016 in the Anaheim Convention Center.

With his Capcom Cup victory coupled with his monstrous win streak in countless Street Fighter tournaments, NuckleDu became one of few players to have made a practical living off of his competitive career, having earned over $300,000 in total.

Also worth nothing: as the Capcom Cup 2016 champion, the character Guile received a Champion's Choice costume as part of the CPT 2017 DLC released the following year. The outfit was customized primarily to NuckleDu's liking. How fitting that the game's community shapes the course of its content!

Now, after taking a temporary hiatus from competitive Street Fighter last year, NuckleDu has returned in full force to regain his throne in the CPT 2018 finals! He currently sits at sixth place in the Global CPT rankings and 5th place in the NA leaderboards, putting him within qualifying territory for Capcom Cup 2018!
