Next Balance Patch for #DragonballFighterZ expected to arrive mid-August

Today, a live-stream event for Dragonball FighterZ was held at OpenRec.TV. Tomoko Hiroki, producer of the popular anime fighting game title, went on record to discuss the next line of content planned for the game.

To start with, character trailers for the base forms of Goku and Vegeta were published via Bandai Namco's Twitter and YouTube pages. You can find those trailers at this article.

Furthermore, Hiroki confirmed that another balance patch is indeed on its way, but it will be purposefully delayed for until after EVO 2018 runs its course, so as not to compromise any players' efforts to prepare for the tournament. As such, while no exact date was given, the estimated release date for this patch has been set for "around the second week of August."

For those wondering, it appears that the primary objective with this balance patch is to distribute a large amount of character buffs across the roster.

Incidentally, an open beta for the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of DBFZ is also scheduled to start in August. That said, it is not yet clear if the beta will launch simultaneously with this balance patch, which is likely to include the base forms of Goku and Vegeta.

As for which characters will be affected by this patch? All of them, except for Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan Vegeta, Goku Black and Adult Gohan. See below for a graphic confirming the characters that will receive adjustments.

Patch notes have yet to be released, but we'll possibly receive further information on these adjustments, plus (hopefully) the release date of the patch and the next DLC characters, via a special live-stream event called the Dragon Ball Game Summer Festival 2018, which will be streamed by Bandai Namco. A regional team tournament for DBFZ is set to be the primary attraction for this stream. Check out this link to learn more about the live-stream event.

Dragonball FighterZ is currently available for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and Steam (PC) platforms. The game will also expand to the Nintendo Switch console on September 28th.
