"Hook'd" Mini-Series starring @HookGangGod debuts this Friday evening, brought to you by @NRGgg and @SonyCrackle!

FGC esports is about to grab the media's attention once more.

SonyCrackle has partnered with NRG Esports to produce a documentary mini-series that highlights NRG HookGangGod's competitive journey through Dragonball FighterZ. The first episode will air tomorrow night via www.sonycrackle.com.

"Hook'd" gives you a first-hand look at the life of Eduardo "HookGangGod" Deno, who initially lived among the streets of New Jersey, uncertain of the direction his future would take. However, little did he know that his interest in fighting games would play a crucial role in elevating his life to heights that he had never before imagined...and it all started with the release of the highly successful tag fighter by ArcSystemWorks: Dragonball FighterZ.

Before HookGangGod knew it, he found himself investing countless hours into improving his craft as a DBFZ player. His decision to attend the locals hosted by Next Level Battle Circuit would culminate in his qualification for Summit of Power, a 16-man DBFZ invitational that brought together the best DBFZ players from all over the world at the headquarters for Beyond The Summit in Los Angeles, CA.

Upon qualifying for Summit of Power, NRG Esports signed both him and Supernoon into their DBFZ roster, a move that would mark their first expansion outside of the growing scene for Super Smash Bros. Shortly thereafter, the lineup for the Summit was finalized, and all competitors, HookGangGod included, were flown out to Los Angeles to determine who would be crowned the best Dragonball FighterZ player in the world.

On that fateful day of June 10th, HookGangGod would emerge the ultimate victor at the Summit, overpowering one of the biggest esports titans in the world to do so: none other than Echo Fox's Dominique "SonicFox" McLean.

Now, as he prepares to journey to Las Vegas next weekend to compete at Evolution 2018, which will feature over 2,500 players battling in the biggest DBFZ tournament yet, you can get an inside look at the road HookGangGod walked to achieve his wildest dreams. All of it will be streamed live for free via Sony Crackle's website.

Additionally, traditional sports intersects with esports once again! As you'll see in the trailer below, HookGangGod's path intertwines with that of Shaquille O'Neal, a retired American basketball player who currently serves as a sports analyst for Inside the NBA. He has also released up to four rap albums, with the first of them, Shaq Diesel, going platinum.

The best of both worlds will collide tomorrow night, and it's bound to have you "Hook'd!"
