#Skullgirls will release physically and digitally on #NintendoSwitch soon!
It seems that the recent trend of welcoming fighting games to the Nintendo Switch will continue. Around an hour ago, the official Twitter account for Skullgirls tweeted out a confirmation that Skullgirls 2nd Encore is on its way to the Switch!
The Switch version of Skullgirls will include all playable characters with their English and Japanese voices, along with new challenges, trials and a Survival Mode. A release date has yet to be confirmed at this time, but we do know that the product will be available physically and digitally.
Along with Skullgirls, players can look forward to Dragonball FighterZ making its way to the Switch this September. More details here.
Skullgirls is a tag-team fighting game where players fight against one another using three-character teams. Developed by Revenge Labs and published by Marvelous and Autumn Games, it released digitally for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 between April 2012 and May 2012, and it also received a Japanese release for PSN in February 2013. Support continued over the next few years via balance updates, new characters and even additional platform releases.
In 2014, Skullgirls was updated to Skullgirls Encore and re-released on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. When it was ported to the current console generation in 2015 as well as the PS Vita, the game was renamed Skullgirls 2nd Encore.
