Wednesday Night Fights expands to @ESAOakland on July 18th!

Yesterday, the Oakland Esports Arena hosted an FGC-centric event called the Bay Area Brawl, which marked the venue's first venture into the NorCal FGC. Players competed in up to five titles: Smash 4, Street Fighter V, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Tekken 7 and Dragonball FighterZ.

What proved to be the greatest attraction, however, was a special announcement by LevelUpLive's Alex Valle.

As the California FGC is well aware, Wednesday Night Fights takes place every week at the original Esports Arena in Orange County. Following a no-holds-barred policy, Level Up provides top-tier production quality and accommodations for their players without fail. It also hosted a qualifier event for the Summit of Power, a DBFZ invitational hosted last month by BeyondTheSummit.

However, as large a state as California is, WNF was primarily focused onto SoCal. But as of July 18th, which is next Wednesday...LevelUp's trademark event wil make its way to NorCal as well!

The announcement trailer concerning the merge between WNF and ESA Oakland can be seen here.

While further details are scarce at this time, it can be assumed that WNF will run simultaneously in both SoCal and NorCal at both of the state's Esports Arenas. Follow @TheAlexValle on Twitter to get informed whenever he drops more announcements.

Wednesday Night Fights is a weekly local event provided by LevelUpLive, a production team that showcases the best of the California FGC using highly innovative technology. Utilizing its content delivery networks, LevelUp delivers high-quality entertainment to a diverse audience.

LevelUp is also responsible for the creation of SCR, or SoCal Regionals, an annual major event where competitors fight for not only stacked prize pools but also for the opportunity to compete in pro-level circuits for the games they enjoy, such as the Capcom Pro Tour and the Tekken World Tour. SCR is making its way to the Ontario Convention Center this September to host its next iteration (more on that here).
