New Gameplay Footage for King K. Rool, Dark Samus and Chrom in #SmashBrosUltimate
This morning, Nintendo threw us a bone...well, two bones, to be exact.
Two weeks ago, five new characters - two of which were original and the remaining three serving as Echo Fighters - were announced via a Nintendo Direct live-stream. All of the additions received an outstanding ovation from the Smash community, but perhaps none more so than King K. Rool, the comically villainous crocodile from the beloved Donkey Kong franchise.
The other four newcomers announced were Simon Belmont, Dark Samus, Chrom and Richter Belmont. Whereas the latter three would fill the role of Echo Fighters, Simon Belmont's addition marked an overlap between the Smash Bros and Castlevania universes. In addition, a new stage called Dracula's Castle was added to an already vast library of levels packed into Ultimate - 103 levels, to be exact.
Also included in the gameplay is Ridley, who was initially revealed as one of the first two newcomers to join the Smash Ultimate lineup during the game's unveiling at E3 2018 in Los Angeles CA.
Since their reveal, players have constantly studied what little was seen of their gameplay in the Nintendo Direct from August 8th. As of today, they will have more gameplay samples to sink their teeth into, and these will feature King K. Rool, Dark Samus and Chrom in action. Check it out!
