Release Date for #DEADORALIVE6 CONFIRMED to be February 15, 2019!
When Dead or Alive 6 was initially revealed during this year's E3, Team Ninja stated that their target for its release date would be early 2019. Since then, fans have stayed vigilant for news of a more precise release date for the long-awaited addition to the Dead or Alive series.
As of this morning, we finally have our answer - February 15, 2019.
DOA6 will launch in February for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam (PC). Both a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition of the package are available for pre-order now via teamninja-studio.com.
Along with the release trailer comes a confirmation concerning two characters that will be made available as DLC: Nyotengu and Phase-4, the latter of which will be available early on to those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition, whereas Nyotengu will be available for owners of either version. However, details regarding both characters have yet to be shared by Team Ninja.
Furthermore, the trailer itself also confirms the addition of three more characters who may be a part of the base roster: Ayane, Marie Rose and Honoka. Again, details concerning all three characters have not surfaced.
In addition to Phase-4, the Deluxe Edition comes with a Deluxe Costume Set that contains up to twenty-five costumes, as well as a Deluxe BGM Set containing up to three unique pieces of music. Furthermore, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition guarantees you access to a special PS$ theme based on the game, as well as a bonus costume for Ryu Hayabusa that is reserved for the Xbox One version.
As well, an early purchase will come with an unlock code for Nyotengu on the Steam version of DOA6.
DLC aside, up to ten characters have been "officially" confirmed for Dead or Alive 6's roster. They are as follows:
